Cicadas sizzle around the Tannehill Iron Works. Crows call to each other through the humidity. Rumbling trains pass and signal. The sun sets. Hundreds of katydids pulse in the hot still air. Roupes Creek can be heard in the background as a broad spectrum white noise.
